Ages 7 & up. In this unique word game, players use tiles to create words crossword-style. The first player to use all their tiles is the winner. With multiple ways to play, this game is perfect for beginning spellers, as well as more advanced players. No pencil, paper, or board required.


Great casual word game!
I've been playing Scrabble for years, and just got a chance to try Bananagrams for the first time a few weeks ago. I really like it! With everyone trying to complete their own boards simultaneously, it's a very fast-paced, energetic game. Bananagrams works well with just a couple of people or a larger group. Since each round lasts just a couple of minutes, if someone wants to get a snack or go to the bathroom or something, they can just sit out a round and nobody else has to wait.

In some ways, the game is more accessible than Scrabble. A good vocabulary still helps a lot, as does a good familiarity with two-letter words, but knowledge of really esoteric long words isn't as important in Bananagrams as in Scrabble. They're two completely different games, and I still do enjoy Scrabble, but I'm definitely a Bananagrams fan now as well. There's a time and a place for both.

Great for all ages  
I have played this game with other adult friends and enjoyed it very much; I have also played with a 6-year-old using the tiles to spell out words she is learning. I liked bananagrams so much I bought my own game set after playing with a friend. If you enjoy scrabble/boggle/other word games you will enjoy bananagrams! : 2010-09-16 00:07:51

Educational Fun for All Ages!  
Bananagrams is one of those games thats fun for kids adults grandparents uncles aunts and cousins. Its a fantastic game that spans the concept of a "recommended age" and provides not only an awesome fun time but also can help develop spelling and word skills.

Bananagrams is portable and durable the entire game fits into a cloth "banana" thats only about 6-9 inches long. You dont even need a pencil and paper to keep score - all that you need is a free surface. The game works well with almost any number of players young and old. Its just as much fun one-on-one as it is with a group of six or seven. You can even play by yourself if you want!

The final thing I want to mention about Bananagrams is that every player is involved with the game at all times. Theres no taking turns and no down time. Great fun for a wide range of ages  
This is our familys new favorite game. One of the great things about it is how small and portable the game is -- easy to take on vacation or anywhere youre headed. Our son takes it to school or work to play during breaks. Its a lot like Scrabble (a game we also love) except vastly more fast-paced and exciting. We Absolutely Love It!  
We love to play games and when you get to improve your thinking skills its all the more benefit. Bananagrams is easy to play and definitely easy to carry along anywhere since its all in a small banana shaped pouch. Great for travel when you want to avoid boring TV programs in a hotel. We definitely need to improve thinking skills considering all the "screen time" people spend these days staring at stuff.
